1. About These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Keypoint Tax website and the professional taxation and accounting services provided by Keypoint Tax ("we," "us," "our"). By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our website and services immediately.
Keypoint Tax is a firm of Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) operating in accordance with the Tax Agent Services Act 2009, the Code of Professional Conduct issued by the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB), and the professional and ethical standards of CPA Australia.
2. Our Services
Keypoint Tax provides the following professional services:

Business tax accounting including company, partnership, trust, and sole trader returns
Personal tax accounting and investment property returns
BAS preparation and lodgement
Bookkeeping and financial reporting
Payroll management and Single Touch Payroll (STP) lodgement
Superannuation and SMSF services
Business setup and structure advice
Client advising including tax planning and ATO compliance
Fringe benefits tax returns and ASIC compliance
All services are subject to a formal engagement letter which will be provided and must be signed before work commences. The scope, fees, and responsibilities for each engagement are defined in that engagement letter.
3. Client Responsibilities
To enable us to provide accurate and timely services, you agree to:
Provide complete, accurate, and up-to-date financial records, documents, and information as requested
Notify us promptly of any changes to your financial situation, business structure, or personal circumstances that may affect your tax obligations
Review all prepared returns, BAS statements, and documents before authorising lodgement
Respond to our requests for information or clarification within a reasonable timeframe
Meet agreed payment terms for professional fees
Keypoint Tax accepts no liability for errors, omissions, or penalties arising from incomplete, inaccurate, or late information provided by the client.
4. Lodgement Deadlines and ATO Obligations
Keypoint Tax will use all reasonable efforts to meet ATO lodgement deadlines applicable to your returns and obligations. However, we are dependent on receiving complete and accurate information from you in sufficient time to prepare and lodge returns by their due dates.
Keypoint Tax accepts no responsibility for ATO penalties, interest charges, or compliance consequences resulting from:
Late or incomplete provision of information by the client
The client's failure to authorise lodgement in a timely manner
Circumstances outside our reasonable control
5. Confidentiality
All client information provided to Keypoint Tax is treated as strictly confidential. We will not disclose your personal or financial information to any third party except:
Where required by law, including disclosure to the ATO, ASIC, or the TPB
Where you have provided express written consent
To third-party service providers engaged solely to assist in delivering your services, who are bound by confidentiality obligations
This confidentiality obligation survives the termination of your engagement with Keypoint Tax.
6. Tax File Number (TFN)
The collection, use, and storage of your Tax File Number is governed by the Privacy (Tax File Number) Rule 2015. Your TFN is collected solely for the purpose of lodging tax returns and related documents with the ATO on your behalf. Your TFN will never be disclosed to any unauthorised third party under any circumstances.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Keypoint Tax website — including text, graphics, logos, and service descriptions — is the intellectual property of Keypoint Tax and is protected under Australian copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or republish any content from this website without prior written consent from Keypoint Tax.

Either party may terminate a service engagement by providing written notice. Upon termination:
You remain liable for all fees for work completed up to the date of termination
Keypoint Tax will return all original client documents upon request
Keypoint Tax will retain copies of all records for the minimum period required by law
11. Complaints and Disputes
If you have a concern or complaint regarding our services, please contact us in writing. We are committed to resolving all complaints promptly, professionally, and fairly. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be referred to:

12. Changes to These Terms

13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
